I thought I was forgetting something. Between Islay and Fort William we stayed in a "castle" (19th Century manor house). It had pretty public spaces, which we didn't use at all. Moving into the Highlands, everything is hillier and more desolate. We did, after a little backtracking, find the bridge that the Hogwarts Express goes over. Other than that, still some sheep. In the morning we went to the Tower of London, which is, you know, interesting and historical and everything.
